Wlliam Keith
Newberry
December 20, 1944 – November 24, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of William K. Newberry announces his sudden passing on November 24, 2022, at Mount View Rehab in Wausau, Wis. William was born December 20, 1944, one of twelve children to William and Lucinda (Sutton)Newberry.
Growing up with his brothers Chuck and Clint, they were an adventurous threesome. They were always playing jokes on each other and everyone else. What one brother didn't think of, another one would. Bill was a graduate of Mercer high school in 1964.
Bill was a kind, loving, and protective boyfriend of Margaret Jackson. He was always full of compliments and wanted to please. Bill had a quirky smile that was very contagious. Bill enjoyed traveling, gambling, and spending time at the lake with his family telling colorful stories of his past.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, William and Lucinda Newberry; his children, Brad (Katina) and Laura (Larry) Kovisto, as well as Roy, Doris, Ralph, Lela, Ethel, Jim, Jerry (Penney), John Hartman, Dorothy Newberry, Harvey, and Geraldine Romanowski.
Bill is survived by his best friend of twenty-six years, Marge Jackson, and their children, Stacey Jackson (Walter Tauer) and Amy Olson (Steve Kangas). His grandchildren are William (Chauntelle), Michael, Adam, Geoff Ringsmuth, Marissa Ringsmuth, Tylor Jackson, and Brooke Olson. Also, four great-grandchildren, LeLand, Wyatt, Harper, and Myles. Siblings; Hazel (Charlie) Schweikert, Clint (Gloria Schmidtt) Newberry, Charles (Kathy) Newberry, and their son Blaz. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and William will sadly be missed by family and friends.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
The family has chosen McKevitt-Patrick Funeral of Ironwood to honor Bill's legacy of life. You can leave a condolence or a tribute at mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.
