William J. "Bill" Korpela Sr., 52, of Ironwood, died Thursday, June 9, 2011, in Ironwood.      He was born Aug. 19, 1958, in Ironwood, son of the late Donald and Lorraine (Aho) Korpela, and attended local schools.      Bill worked in the woods for most of his life. He enjoyed spending time at camp with his kids and grandchildren.      Surviving are a son, William Jr. (Joey Cvengros), Ironwood; four daughters, Annie (Myron) Bloshenko, Neenah, Wis., and Becky (Phil) Aho, Tammy Korpela (Joe Anderson), and Brooke Wiitanen ( fiance Justin Recla), all of Ironwood; three grandchildren, Gavin Bloshenko, Alex Korpela, and Cooper Aho; two brothers, Arthur and Marvin (Sharon), both of Ironwood; two sisters, Judy (David) VanderBloomen, Lena, Wis., and Karen (Roger) Bjork, Upson, Wis.; his former wife, Julie Sertich, Ironwood; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.      Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Kulak, on Feb. 24, 2001; and a nephew, Nathan Langdon.      As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.      A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held Sunday, June 12, from noon until ? at his son Bill Jr's residence at 155 W.
