Terrance A. "TL" Leiskau, 67, of
Town Hall Road, Oma, died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at
home. He was born Aug. 27, 1946, in New London, son
of the late Atwood and Laverne (Koplein) Leiskau, and resided in East Troy,
where he graduated from high school in 1964. He then entered the Wisconsin
National Guard on March 5, 1966, serving for five
years and three months, and was activated into the regular Army at the outset of
the Milwaukee riots during that time. TL was employed as a machinist for Waukesha
Engine in Waukesha for more than 40 years, retiring in December 2007 and moving
permanently to Oma. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and four-wheeling, and was
a member of the White Thunder Riders, the A-Team ATV Club and the East Troy Snow
Trojans. He held a special place in his heart for his partner, Collie, and his
dog, Jake. He was formerly married to Kathleen "Susie"
Pope. Surviving are a son, Jeff (Ann) and daughter,
Terri Lynn (Craig) Messerschmidt, both of East Troy; two grandchildren, Philip
and Tanner Messerschmidt; a stepgranddaughter, Katie Jo Manka; two
stepgreat-grandchildren, Xander and Hayden; two brothers, Robert (Barbara),
Livingston, Texas, and Gary (Carol), Hancock, Wis.; three sisters, Patricia
Sippel, Fond du Lac, Janet (Don) Ready, Mukwonago, and Marlene (George)
Grauwels, Fairchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Per TL's wishes, cremation has taken
place. Memorial services will be held Friday, Sept.
6, at 2 p.m., preceded by visitation at 1 p.m., at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral
Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in Ironwood, Mich., with the Rev. Kurt Kovanen
officiating. A reception will follow at the Oma Town
Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials are
