Sigrid M. Luoma, age 97 of Ironwood, died Monday, January 18, 2016 at home. She was born on November 15, 1918 in Ironwood, the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary (Ross) Panula. She attended Ironwood schools, graduating from Luther L. Wright High School with the Class of 1937. On November 1, 1941, she was united in marriage with Otto Luoma in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1980. Sigrid is survived by three cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth E. McDole on June 8, 1969. Cremation will take place at the Range Crematory in Hurley. At Sigrid''s request, no formal service will be held. Spring inurnment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood.
