Sandra M. Alexandroni, 58, of
413 Cedar St., Ironwood, Mich., died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at Aspirus Wausau
Hospital in Wausau, after suffering a stroke on Friday, Oct. 8, at
home. She was born April 18, 1952, in Ironwood,
daughter of the late Gildo and Beatrice "Pinky" (Eliasson) Alessandroni,
attended A.L. Norrie and St. Ambrose Grade School, and graduated from Luther L.
Wright High School in 1970. Sandie was employed as cook/manager at the
Pioneer Cafe on Cloverland Drive in Ironwood for several years, and worked at
Tru-Flight, Mercer Boat Co., and Simpson Electric Co. in Mercer. She then was
employed as a cook at the Ken-Mar Cafe in downtown Ironwood for 20 years, and
worked at Pizza King Joe and bartended and cooked at the Midway Bar in
Ironwood. She enjoyed playing darts and was a member of
the Iron County Dart League. She also enjoyed going to the casino and her little
dog, "Diego". Sandie had a personality that everyone loved.
She was a joy to be around and will be dearly missed. Surviving are four brothers, John
(Trisha), Larry, and Charlie (Bonnie), all of Ironwood, and Gerald (Connie),
Green Bay; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of
friends. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has
taken place. A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct.
22, at 11 a.m., at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in
Ironwood, with the Rev. Darryl J. Pepin, officiating. Rite of Committal will take place at the
funeral home, with private interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery,
Ironwood. Family and friends may call at the funeral
