Sally Ann Thomas, 78, of Ironwood, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 in Wakefield. She was born August 13, 1939, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Krueger) Thomas. Sallyattended Ironwood Schools. She lived most of her life in Ironwood, and was very involved in church activities. She always had a good cat for company, and loved sending birthday and Christmas cards to people she cared about. Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Shirley Thomas, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Sally was preceded in death by a brother, William; a sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and August "Bud" Dahl; a nephew, David Dahl, and a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Elaine Thomas. Sally spent the last thirteen years living at Gogebic Medical Care Facility. The wonderful people that cared for her were her true family. The endless compassion, support, patience, understanding, and sense of humor they put forth towards Sally will forever be appreciated. Thank you to all of you. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service and inurnment will take place in the spring.
