Obituary

Rose Marie Hakari, 84, of Ironwood passed away on November 25, 2020 at the Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center where she resided for 3 years. Rose Marie was born February 9,1936 in Brentwood Township, daughter of Harry and Rose (Gutt) Smith, on her family's farm near Phillips, Wisconsin. She married Donald Nasi in 1956, and they had three sons. She devoted her life to raising her special needs son, Scotty. Rose Marie worked at Powderhorn, Kmart, Big Boy and Hulstroms also known as the penny candy store. Rose Marie is survived by sons, Kevin (Teresa) and Jeffery grandchildren, Melissa Worthington (Weston Walowinski), Aaron (Cat), Ryan, Dylan (Rachael) and Senja Nasi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Rose Smith; son, Scotty; and great -grandson, Matthew. A graveside burial will take place in the spring of 2021 The family has chosen McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home of Ironwood to honor Rose Marie's legacy of life.
