Robert "Rob" Francis Sharon, 75, of Wakefield, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

He was born on February 25, 1949, to Ernest and Ruth (LaLonde) Sharon in Escanaba. He received his Master's degree in Psychology & Behavioral Analysis from Northern University. Rob retired as the administrator of the Gogebic Medical Center in Wakefield and he was on the board for the Department of Human Services. Rob was a disabled US veteran serving in Vietnam and was a member of the Wakefield VFW Post #9084, and the local Rotary. Rob loved spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed being outdoors doing lawn care, planting and gardening. Rob had a special gift with dogs and loved all his pets. Rob had a true servant's heart and never met a stranger. He was very active in his community. He was kind to everyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Rob is survived by his sister, Judith Sharon of Cleveland, WI; nephews, Shawn Hornick, Josh Rauwerdink, Dan Rauwerdink, Michael Rauwerdink, and Ryan Menke; and his beloved dog, Dugan and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ruth Sharon; sisters, Sandra Hornick, Patricia Allen, and Susan Menke.
