Robert "Bob" Francis Samardich, 64, of Gile, passed away on January 26, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN following long, difficult health challenges.

Bob was born on May 20, 1961, in Minneapolis and was the beloved son of George Robert and Barbara Jean (Goodrich) Samardich. He graduated in the class of 1979 at Cooper High School in New Hope, Minnesota, and went on to receive an Associate's degree. Bob spent the majority of his work life in facility maintenance and food service in the long-term care industry. He enjoyed watching football, especially, the Minnesota Vikings, bowling, deer hunting, and spending time in the outdoors.

Bob is survived by his father, George R. Samardich; brother, William Samardich (Grace); sister, Mary Beth (Steven) Larson; nieces and nephew, Rachel Kemp, Christopher Samardich, Grace and Lily Larson. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Goodrich Samardich.

A private service is planned with family and friends at the First Presbyterian Church in Hurley with Pastor Ardith Johnson officiating.
