Obituary

Olga J. "Allie" Vronch, 85, of Ironwood, Mich., died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Alden Meadow Park Nursing Home in Clinton, Wisc.      The former Allie Kolak was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Pocernich) Kolak, and attended Newport Grade School and Luther L. Wright High School. She lived with her mother, Helen, and cared for her for many years in the family home in Jesseville, and was employed at the Hansen Glove Factory on Ayer St. in Ironwood.      Allie was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood and the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was devoted to Jesus, and was a loving wife, sister and auntie. She had a great sense of humor.      She married Benedict P. "Ben" Vronch on Jan. 22, 1977, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Ironwood. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2012.      Surviving are a sister, Mandy Wedge, Kiel; stepsons, Michael (Brenda) Vronch, Hurley, and James Vronch, Rockford, Ill.; stepdaughter, Judith Walsh, Roscoe, Ill.; ten step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Ida Kolak, Beloit, Celia DeMario, Ironwood, Marie Erickson, Ironwood Township, and Veronica Skolasinski, Wakefield, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.       Besides her parents and husband, Allie was preceded in death by brothers, John and George Kolak, and Joseph Uremovich; and sisters, Ann Cardini, Kathryn Nasi, Helen Thorin, Mary Uremovich in infancy, and Mary Semenak.      Cremation has taken place.      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 15, at 12:30 p.m., preceded by visitation in the St. Joseph Family Room at 11:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood, with the Rev. Darryl J. Pepin, celebrant.      Rite of Committal will take place in the St. Joseph Family Room at the church, with luncheon to follow in the parish hall.      Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.      Allie's obituary can be viewed online and condolences given to her family at mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.      Arrangements are entrusted to McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ironwood.
