Michael Paul Evsich, 61, of Ironwood passed away on February 11, 2021 following a long courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side. He was born in Escanaba on February 3, 1960. He had two sets of adoptive parents, Aldo & Violet Lassio and Frank & Louise Evsich, who loved him dearly. Michael attended Bessemer area schools. After getting his GED, Michael enlisted in the United States Airforce. He was also employed by Halvorline's. Michael was united in marriage to Susan Lee Lehto on September 24, 2016. His hobbies included fixing small engines and spending time with his family. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Michael is survived by his wife, Susan; his sons, Luke and Michael; daughters, Alysa and Isabella; step-children, Amanda (Marc) Lane, John (Kelsie) Fehl, Laurie (Jason) Winger, Daunte Bolton and Karrera Bolton and Ana Younker-Zimmerman; grandchildren, Preston, Nolan, and Macie; brothers, David and Bob; sisters, Susan (Scott), Sara (Chad) and Diane; aunt, Betty; uncles, Jim and George; his in-laws; William Lehto, Maryann Swanson and Toni and David Thorstad; best friends, Miles Donkers, Patrick Moselle, Krystal Robb, and his ex-wife, Elizabeth Koponen-Zimmerman. Michael is further survived by many family and friends. He was preceded in death by both sets of adoptive parents, several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Michael's life will be held later this summer.
