Melissa J. Tregloan, 85, of
Little Girl's Point, Ironwood Township, Mich., died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at
Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau. The former Melissa McQuown was born April 13,
1927, in Stambaugh, Mich., daughter of the late Charles and Alma (Renberg)
McQuown, and graduated from Stambaugh High School in 1945. She married Clifford Tregloan on Jan. 25,
1946, in Washington D.C. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1992. Melissa worked as a dental assistant for Dr.
Wolfram at his dental office in Stambaugh for several years. She then moved to
Holland, Mich. in Jan. 1966 and was employed as an assistant in a medical
office there, retiring in 1994 and moving to Little Girl's Point. She enjoyed
oil painting and painting duck decoys. Surviving are a son, Donald, Little Girl's
Point, Ironwood Township; three grandchildren, Isaiah (Erin) Tregloan, Paw Paw,
Mich., Mariah Tregloan, Lansing, Mich., and Darin Tregloan, Philadelphia, Penn.;
one great-grandson, Liam Tregloan; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Losey and Maime
Sawicki, both of Stambaugh; and five nieces and two nephews. Beside her parents and husband, Melissa was
preceded in death by a son, James, in 1969; two brothers, Vernon and Marquis
McQuown; and a sister, Dorothy Olson. Out of respect for her wishes, cremation has
taken place. Graveside services and committal will be held
Friday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m., in the Stambaugh Cemetery, with the Rev. Bob Sunn
officiating. Interment will follow. Condolences may be given to Melissa's family
