Obituary

Mayme J. Hannula, 82, of Saxon, Wis., passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, in Ironwood.      She was born Dec. 14, 1926, in South Bessemer to the late John and Aini (Jaskari) Taivalmaa.      She married Paul Hannula on June 29, 1946, in Hurley.      Mayme worked for Munsingwear Inc. for 21 1/2 years from which she retired in February 1989. She was a member of Good Shepard Community Apostolic Lutheran Church in Kimball, Wis.      Surviving are her husband, Paul; two daughters, Paulette (David) Pease, Pekin, Ill., and Linda (Dan) Wisneski, Appleton, Wis.; a son, Dale (Lura) Hannula, Bonita Springs, Fla.; a sister, Ethel Ellen Taivalmaa, Germfask;  nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.      Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Sylvia, Tyyne, Rachel and Helen; and three brothers, Toivo, Martin and Urho.      Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m., at Good Shepard Community Apostolic Lutheran Church in Kimball, with the Rev. Norman Kangas officiating.      Committal will take place at the church, with luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall.      Spring burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Saxon.      Relatives and friends may call at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepard Community Apostolic Lutheran Church, 5576 W.
