Obituary

Mary Lou DiUlio, 88, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Wheaton Franciscan Woods Rehabilitation Center in Brookfield.      The former Mary Lou Pozega was born April 15, 1922, in Bessemer, Mich., daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Magdich) Pozega. She attended St. Sebastian Catholic Grade School and graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer.      On Oct. 4, 1942, Mary married Frank J. DiUlio of Hurley at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bessemer. He preceded her in death in 1982.      Mary spent many years in Hurley and moved to Waukesha in 1963 where she worked in retail sales at the Boston Store in Brookfield for many years.      Surviving are a daughter, Paulette (Thomas) Weber, West Bend, and son, Joseph DiUlio, Oak Park, Ill.; two grandchildren, of whom she was very proud, Jodene (Edward) Renda, Pittsburgh, Penn., and Jay (Shelley) Weber, Slinger; four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Nicholas, Max and Madison; two brothers, Michael (Susan) Pozega, Backus, Minn., and Paul (Marlys) Pozega, Lansing, Mich.; a sister, Theresa Amich, Kenosha; a sister-in-law, Janet Pozega, Ironwood; and many nieces, nephews, friends and wonderful neighbors in Waukesha.      Besides her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, John in infancy, and Robert "Doc" Pozega; and two sisters, Rose Pozega in childhood, and Katherine Harritt.      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley, with the Rev. Michael Hayden, celebrant.      Rite of Committal and interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hurley.      Visitation will be at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday.      In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation and/or the Hurley School District.      Online condolences may be given to the family of Mary Lou DiUlio at mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.      Arrangements are entrusted to McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home Inc., Ironwood.      The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Woods in Brookfield for their wonderful care and kindness extended to our mother.
