Obituary

Marilyn J. Misuraco, 72, of 424 E. Vaughn St., Ironwood, died Monday, April 12, 2010, in Ironwood.      The former Marilyn Darin was born Dec. 8, 1937, in Montreal, Wis., daughter of the late Leo and Helen (Holme) Darin, and attended Montreal and Hurley schools.      She married Herman R. Misuraco. The couple lived in Milwaukee and Minocqua, Wis. for many years, and in Pound, Wis. prior to Herman's death on June 4, 1984.      Following her husband's death in 1984, Marilyn moved to Ironwood, where she enjoyed being with her friends, shopping, going to the casino and watching the Green Packers on T.V.        Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Scott) Johnson, Lake Forest, Calif., and Nicole (Mike Janish) Misuraco, Eden Prairie, Minn.; four grandchildren, Andy, Sarah and Holly Johnson, Lake Forest, and Sophia Misuraco-Janish, Eden Prairie; a brother, Leo (Marie) Darin, Rockton, Ill.; a sister, Bonnie (Dana) Nygard, LeHeigh Acres, Fla.; brother-and-sister-in-law, Danny and Sharon Misuraco, Mosinee, Wis.; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Olive Niemi, Julie Silc and Dorothy Valentino, all of Ironwood.      In accordance with Marilyn's wishes, cremation has taken place.      Memorial services will be held Friday, April 16, at 11 a.m., at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in Ironwood, with the Rev. Francis Strong officiating.      Committal will take place at the funeral home, with luncheon to follow at the Iron Nugget in downtown Hurley.      Private inurnment will be in Sunset Acres Cemetery, Ironwood Township.      Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday.      To view Marilyn's obituary online, sign the guestbook and express condolences, visit mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.      Arrangements are entrusted to McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ironwood.
