Obituary

Marguerite M. "Marge" Bidgood, 91, of Ironwood, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, in Ironwood.      The former Marguerite Warren was born Aug. 19, 1921, in Highbridge, Wis., daughter of the late John and Mary (Utto) Warren, and graduated from Mellen High School in Mellen, Wis. in 1940. She was employed as a payroll clerk at the Penokee Veneer Mill in Mellen prior to her marriage to Gerald Bidgood on Aug. 28, 1943  at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mellen. They lived in Mellen and Ashland before moving to Ironwood in 1954.      Marge worked as a payroll clerk at Ahonen Lumber Co. and Cherne Contracting in Ironwood, retiring as a clerk in the city of Ironwood water department in 1981.      She was a longtime active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ironwood, the church choir, and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.      Surviving are her husband, Gerald, of 68 years; a son, Thomas (Janice), Arvada, Colo.; daughter, Linda (Gregory) Pisani, Ironwood; three grandchildren, Jessica (Daniel) Brauer, Denver, Colo., Tina Pisani, Minnetonka, Minn., and Brian Pisani, Ironwood; a brother, Walter Warren, Molalla, Ore.; sister-in-law, Margaret Bidgood, El Cerrito, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.      Besides her parents, Marge was preceded in death by seven brothers, John, Reuben, Theodore "Jimmy", Toivo "Steve", Sam, George and Richard Warren; and four sisters, Sadie Saari, Sylvia Andersen, Esther Hough, and Ruth Suni.          Out of respect for her wishes, cremation has taken place.      Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5104 E. Margaret St., in Ironwood, with the Rev. Wes "Bo" Baumeister officiating.      Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.      Private committal and interment will be in Mellen Union Cemetery, Mellen.      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Gogebic Community College Foundation, E4946 Jackson Rd., Ironwood, MI 49938.      Condolences can be given to Marge's family online at mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.      Arrangements are entrusted to McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ironwood.
