Lynn Marie Tijan, 61, of Saxon, Wisconsin passed away on January 26, 2022, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.

She was born on May 13, 1960, in Ashland, Wisconsin the daughter of Edward and Diana (Hmielewski) Raarup.

After graduating high school she went on to work in laundry at a nursing home in Ashland. She married Michael Tijan on September 3, 1988, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley. Lynn ran a home daycare service in Ashland and later worked as a caregiver for Avanti home health. She loved taking care of people and was a very nurturing person.

Family was what Lynn valued most. She loved being a mother and grandmother. She especially loved spending time playing with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and reading.

Lynn grew up attending St. Agnes Catholic School and Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley.

Lynn is survived by her daughter, Grace (John) Swartz of Saxon; grandchildren, Elsie and Parker; mother, Diana Raarup; brothers, Michael (Beth) and Edward (Scott) Raarup; and sister, Julie Raarup.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward and her husband, Michael.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on a later date for family with Fr. Raj Sunkara as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hurley, Wisconsin.
