Obituary

Lucille A. Grewe, 76, of Ironwood, Mich., died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.      Born Feb. 22, 1939, Lucille (Norlin) Grewe lived in Dollar Bay, Mich., graduating from Dollar Bay High School. She then went on to graduate from Suomi College in Hancock, Mich. After college, Lucille married David Grewe. They moved to Houghton, Mich. where David was a student at Michigan Tech. After David's graduation, Lucille and David lived in a variety of places, winding up in Ironwood in 1978.      Lucille was a secretary and executive secretary for over 30 years. Her favorite places to work were Powderhorn Lodging, The Hanover Inn in New Hampshire, YPPA in Troy, Mich., and Eagle County, Colo. from which she retired in 2006. She moved back to Ironwood in 2012, where she lived until her passing.      Her smile and laughter made everywhere she was a better place. Her love for her family and friends was uncompromising and heartfelt. Her love for The Lord Jesus was known by all who knew her and we believe fully that she is rejoicing with The Lord now.      Surviving are three sons, Paul (Mary), Eagle, Colo., and Peter (Tammy)and John, Ironwood; nine grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; three brothers, Arthur (Janet) Norlin, Oregon City, Ore., Richard Norlin, Dollar Bay, and Robert (Joyce) Norlin, Durham, Ore.; two sisters, Esther Mackler,Milwaukee, Ore., and Alice Koch, Kingsford, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Kathy Norlin, Logansport, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.      Lucille was predeceased by her parents, Axel and Ina (Johnson) Norlin; two brothers, Chester and Ernest Norlin; and two sisters, Margaret Foley and Irene O'Connor.      Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place.      There will be a local memorial service for Lucille at Lighthouse Faith Center, 777 E. Ayer St. in Ironwood on Sunday, June 14, at 3:00 p.m.  with Pastor Tom Rouse officiating. Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the church.      A second memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Dollar Bay on Sunday, July 5, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Sally Wilke officiating.
