Lois Jean Pesavento, 93, of Ironwood, MI, passed away June 10, 2023, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital.

Lois was born November 10, 1929, in Ironwood, MI. The daughter of George Walter Anthony Rasmussen and Myrtle (Eplett) Rasmussen. She attended and graduated from Ironwood Highschool in 1947.

On July 20, 1950, Lois married Dominic Pesavento in Iron Mountain, MI.

At the time, she was a Senior Telephone Operator at Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Ironwood and worked there until retirement. After marrying, she became a meticulous housekeeper taking great pride in how her home looked. In 1959 she gave birth to her beloved son David, followed by a daughter Colleen.

Her greatest joys in life were playing music at the nursing home, playing with The Tamburitzans, and spending time outdoors with her grandkids and friends.

Proceeding her in passing were her parents George Walter Anthony Rasmussen and Myrtle (Eplett), spouse Dominic (Parcy) Pesavento, and siblings Robert Rassmussen (in infancy), Doris Bradley, Gordon Rasmussen, and Norman Rasmussen.

She is survived by her son David (Colleen Cummings), and daughter Colleen (Jeff) Gallo, grandchildren Brianna (Bruce) Scuffham and Eric Gallo, and beloved cousin Barbara Gaab.

At Sunset Acres, a graveside ceremony was celebrated on Friday, June 16th.
