Lila Sorvari, 104, of Hurley, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Villa Maria Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Lila was born on January 29, 1921, in the town of Carey, the daughter of the late Ed and Mary (Flankilla) Hakala. She was united in marriage to Walter Sorvari, who preceded her in death in 1995. Following his passing, Lila relocated to Hurley, where she was employed at Simpson Electric in Mercer for 24 years and generously gave back to her community by volunteering at the Senior Center for 20 years.

Lila is survived by her son, Steven, of Ironwood, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her four brothers and three sisters.

In accordance with Lila's wishes, no services will be held.
