Kathryn Doris Jackson, age 77, of Ironwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Westgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after her long battle with multiple sclerosis.

Kathy was born the daughter of Francis and Lois (Deringer) Chatterson on November 8, 1946, in Park Falls, Wisconsin. She was a 1964 graduate of Hurley. Kathy was a seamstress for local manufacturers. She enjoyed flower gardening, playing Smear, and was a big Green Bay Packers Fan.

She will be missed by her sons, Todd Jackson, Benjamin (Heidi) Eskola both of Osceola, WI, and Dave (Lynn) Jackson of Ironwood; her sister, Pat Chatterson; grandchild, Jacob (Savanna) Eskola; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Brayden Eskola; and her cousin who was also her best friend, Judy Bozicevich. Kathy is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard "Red" Jackson, and her brother, Steve Chatterson.

A memorial gathering for Kathy will be held on Saturday, April 6th from 10 a.m. to the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home in Ironwood.

Kathy's family would like to thank everyone at Westgate for being like her family for the last 20 years.
