Obituary

Justin Goode, age 36, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away suddenly on October 14, 2025. He was born on November 5, 1988, in Oberlin, Ohio, to Janet and Kevin Goode. A lifelong resident of Lorain, Justin graduated from Clearview High School in 2006.

From a young age, Justin had a deep love for sports. From the time he could hold and throw a ball (about age 2) he would be awake at 6:00 am and say (outside play ball now). As he got older, several repairs to the garage doors needed to be made from dents and holes made by Justin practicing his throwing and catching. In the course of his youth starting at age five, Justin played many different sports that included: soccer, football, basketball, and baseball. — Baseball would become his passion. His competitive spirit, dedication, and love for teamwork were qualities that defined him both on and off the field.

Justin worked for many years at Multilink before joining Galaxy Industrial Services, where he worked alongside his stepfather, David. He truly enjoyed the opportunities his job brought—especially traveling to new places and experiencing something different every day.

Outside of work, Justin lived life on his own terms. He spent his free time doing things that pleased him. He loved Ohio sports teams. He could always be found on a Saturday cheering for THE OHIO STATE. His collection of jerseys is a testament to his love for the team. He continued to root for the Browns through thick and thin, always looking forward to the next draft day. The Cleveland Cavaliers held a special place for Justin. The family would gather to watch some games, but this time was almost exclusively spent with his brother Christian. They carried their love of the game into playing the video game (NBA 2K). It was very common to walk into the house to see Justin downstairs playing and Christian upstairs, both playing on the same virtual team along with their cousin Tanner. The game allowed them to develop a strong bond through achievement of common goals. Justin also enjoyed grabbing a bite to eat with his siblings and showing off new music and sneakers. His passion for adding to his sneaker collection would spread to his siblings. He enjoyed spending time with his lifelong best friend, Ryan Foor. They have lived all of life's biggest moments together, from being Ryan's best man to becoming Godfather to his daughter Gianna.

Justin had a passion for music and songwriting, and he poured his creativity into everything he did. Above all, he loved to live in the moment and do the things that made him happy. His laughter could light up any room and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Justin is survived by his loving mother, Janet Reyes, father, Kevin Goode, and stepfather, David Reyes. He is also survived by his siblings Christian, Jillian, Jasmine, and Karina Reyes, Grandparents William and Grace McDonald, Grandmother Freda Goode, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and lifelong friends and his extended family who will forever cherish his memory.

Justin's joyful spirit, kindness, and laughter will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
