Joseph J. "Joey D" Dudra,
60, of 165 E. Harding Ave., Ironwood, Mich., died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, surrounded by his family. He was born May 29, 1950, in Ironwood, son of
the late John and Mary (Marella) Dudra, attended Newport Grade School, and
graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1969. He then served in the U.S.
Army for three years in Germany and Korea. Following his honorable discharge in April
1972, Joe returned to Ironwood where he was employed in furnace repair with
Tom's Sheet Metal, Fred Gygi, and M&M Plumbing & Heating. He was also
a self-employed furnace repairman. Joe was a Klassic Kruiser, and was the
sole owner of a 1972 Chevelle he bought new in 1972. He received numerous
trophies for displaying his classic at car shows throughout the years.
He enjoyed music from the 60's and going to
the casino. He would do a favor for anyone. IF YOU WERE A FRIEND OF JOEY D,
CONSIDER YOUR RICHES AS HE DID YOU. HE WAS GOOD TO EVERYONE HE KNEW AND MET.

for 21 years. Surviving are his son, Cory, Ironwood, and
sister, Beverly Ann (Joe) Rohde, Ironwood
Township; companion, Karen Koval, Ironwood; uncle, Benedict Dudra, Madison
Heights; nephews, David Runge and son, Bryson, and Michael Runge (Beth Bergman)
and daughter, Gracie, all of Hartland; numerous cousins, the Dudra's,
Pachmayer's, Marella's and DeCarlo's; and very close friends, Jack and Sue
Kopacz, Hurley, and Brian and Beverly Tousignant, Ironwood. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death
by two brothers, William "Billy" and Robert "Bobby". At the family's request, cremation has taken
place. A memorial gathering in celebration of Joey
D's life will be held Wednesday, July 7, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the
McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in Ironwood, where a flag
presentation ceremony will be accorded by representatives of the Ironwood
