John Kolodziejczyk, 94, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024 at the St. Cloud (MN) VA Medical Center.

He was born in Ironwood in 1930 and remained there until moving to Minneapolis in 2020 to be closer to his family. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mary along with sisters Josephine and Stella. John is survived by his devoted wife of 71 years Cookie, his son John (Linda), daughters Lori Bergstrom (Jim) and Michelle Cooper (Bob), grandchildren Michael (Naomi), Cassie Adams (Justin), Lauren Brittan (Eric) and Dillon Bergstrom along with seven great-grandchildren.

John was an avid outdoorsman who loved his gardens, hunting, fishing and playing cribbage. He was a skilled woodworker who made many heirloom pieces that are treasured by his family.

Visitation will be at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (Ironwood) at 9:30 am on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 followed by Mass at 10:30. Subsequent to the Mass, interment will be at Riverside Cemetery with a luncheon at the church afterward.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at the St. Cloud (MN) VA Medical Center who provided loving care to John during his stay and who brightened his days. We will always appreciate your kindness and care; we love you like family.
