Jody L. Soffiette, 45, formerly of Ironwood, Mich., and resident at Chris Jensen Nursing Home in Duluth, died Friday evening, Dec. 2, 2016, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.      He was born May 23, 1971, in Ironwood, son of Bob and Babe (Youngs) Soffiette. He attended Newport Grade School and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1989. He then attended WITC in Ashland, Wis. for two years and was employed as a tool & die maker at Everson Tool & Machine in Ironwood until  an ATV accident left him permanently disabled.      Jody enjoyed working on vehicles, four-wheeling, weight lifting, hunting and hanging out with his friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with family.      Surviving are his father, Bob, Erwin Township, Mich., and mother, Babe, Duluth; aunts and uncles, Susan Braspenick, Ironwood Township, Carol and Dennis Mattson, Ironwood, Charlotte and Bill Galarno, Gurney, Wis., Robert and Betty Larson, Mercer, Wis., Richard Burlo, Green Bay, Lois Brandis, Gurney, and Lillian Youngs, Hurley, Wis.; and numerous cousins.      Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m., at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in Ironwood, with Deacon Chuck Gervasio officiating.      Luncheon will follow at the Aurora Athletic Club in Ironwood.      Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Saturday.      Arrangements have been entrusted to McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ironwood.
