Jo Ann Glass, 74, of Ironwood, MI passed away Thursday, April 21 at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility. Jo was the second daughter of the late Chester and Henrietta Glass. She is survived by daughter Denise Cariera and son Dino Cariera, their father Dominic Cariera, their children, and their children''s children. Jo had 6 brothers and sisters - Diane, Chester, Pat, Paul (deceased), John and Ruth. Jo was born and raised in Detroit, MI, and lived and worked in the northeast suburbs in the 1960''s & 70''s. Jo worked for the US Postal Service in the 1970''s, and decided in the early 1980''s to sell what she had and move to the Upper Peninsula. She resided in Bruce Crossing, Ewen, and eventually Ironwood. She moved to Wakefield and entered into hospice care in the fall of 2015. She was a student and devotee of nature, wildlife, and the out-of-doors. According to Jo''s wishes, there will be no memorial service. The family would like to thank Regional Hospice Services of Ironwood and the Gogebic Medical Care Facility for Jo''s care and support these past months.
