Obituary

Jim Danielson, 62, of Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 10, 2021, while doing what he loved the most - spending time outdoors.

Jimmy was born on August 19, 1958, in Wakefield, Michigan to the late Annie (Pallin) and Don Danielson of Ironwood. Jim was a lifelong resident of the Ironwood area, except for a few years living in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman and loved life in the UP.

Jimmy and his brother, Donny, learned the auto body repair trade and love for cars at a young age from working with their father at Danielson's Body Shop. Jim was known for his meticulous work throughout his life. His daughter, Kaarina Ann (K-Love), was the light of his life, and he was a loving and devoted father. As Kaarina always says, "I have the best dad ever!"

Jimmy has touched so many lives. He had a huge heart, always spreading kindness and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Everyone that knew him has their own special memories that they will hold in their hearts.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Kaarina; siblings, Donald Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, Anne (Marshall) Frey of Waunakee, Wisconsin, Kathy (Chuck) Munn of Ironwood, Michigan, and Mary (Steve) Suvanto of Yorba Linda, California; nieces and nephews, Amy Danielson of Kingsford, Michigan, Nikki (Gary) Killough of Fort Mills, South Carolina, Jessica Danielson of Ironwood, Michigan, Krystle (James) Erler of Chicago, Illinois, Ashley Frey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tyler Munn of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Steven (Ashley) Suvanto of Phoenix, Arizona, and Ryan (Fiancée Kristina) of Washington, DC.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church on Friday, April 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Binu Joseph as celebrant, preceded by a visitation at 10 a.m. in the St. Joseph's Room.

Inurnment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Iron Belt, Wisconsin at a later date.

Jim will leave a huge void in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him; especially by his loyal companion, his dog, Lester. Special thank you to Jerry and Julie Pallin for all their love, kindness, and support!

The family has chosen Ketola-Burla Funeral Home to honor Jim's legacy of life. You can leave a condolence or a tribute at rangefuneralservices.com.
