IRONWOOD, MI — Jerry W. Gallo, age 69, of Ironwood, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital.

Jerry was born on June 12, 1955, in Ironwood to John and Ellen (Haapala) Gallo. He graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1973. On August 13, 1977, Jerry was united in marriage with Diane Hagstrom in Wakefield.

Jerry was employed with the Gogebic-Ontonagon Community Action Agency (GOCAA), where he contributed to the weatherization program. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his sons. Jerry and Diane also shared a love for visiting casinos. A devoted sports fan, Jerry especially liked watching NASCAR and a variety of other sporting events.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane; two sons, Jerry (Angela) Gallo and Brad (Mary) Gallo, both of Ironwood; and three grandchildren, Peter, Ethan, and Kadey. Jerry is also survived by his siblings: Judith Makela of Bemidji, MN; Thomas (Claudia) Gallo of Holy Oak, MN; Patricia (Dan) McCullough of Ironwood; Roger (Diane) Gallo of Ironwood; Michael (Beverly) Gallo of Stacy, MN; Dean (Karen) Gallo of Pensacola, FL; Joy (Wally) Gallo, and Jeffrey (Colleen) Gallo, both of Ironwood. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: James Gallo, Joseph Gallo, John (Denise) Gallo, and Kathy "Kato" Gallo.

In accordance with Jerry's wishes, no formal services will be held.
