Jeanette M. Bozinski, 84, of 616
4th Ave. No., Hurley, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, in Hurley.
The former Jeanette M. Orlaski was born Dec.
19, 1925, in Superior, daughter of the late Carl and Ida (Sawicki) Orlaski, and
graduated from Central High School there in 1943. She was married to Anthony G. "Tony" Bozinski
on May 10, 1947, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Superior, by the late Rev.
Nowotski. Tony called her his "Polish Bride". They moved to Hurley in 1961,
where Jeanette first worked as a waitress at Guido's Pasty Shop, then was
employed at Trolla's Market for 14 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church
in Hurley and served on the Board of Directors of Southgate Village for ten
years. She was an excellent seamstress, and enjoyed knitting. She loved spending
time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Tony, of 62 years;
a son, Joseph (Sandra), Wausau; two daughters, Carol Cvar, Buhl, Minn., and
Barbara (Richard) Juth, Coon Rapids, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Brenda Cvar,
Lindstrom, Minn., Brian Cvar, Mosinee, Melissa Juth, Isanti, Minn., Lisa Juth,
Blaine, Minn., Steven Juth, Lynwood, Wash., Jason Holm, Seattle, Wash., and
Jeremy Bozinski, Wausau; one great-grandson, Connor Cvar; numerous nieces and
nephews, and special friends, Buddy and Frances Ellis, Hurley. Besides her parents, Jeanette was preceded in
death by a brother, Joseph Orlaski; two sisters, Pauline Anecki and Mary
Bozinski; and son-in-law, Robert Cvar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Thursday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley, with the
Rev. Michael Hayden, celebrant. Rite of Committal will take place at the
church, with luncheon to follow in the parish hall. Spring burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery,
Hurley. Relatives and friends may call at the church
from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Jeanette's grandchildren,
to include Brenda and Brian Cvar, Melissa, Lisa and Steven Juth, and Jeremy
