Janet C. Trier, 84, of Ironwood, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Viewcrest Health Center in Duluth, Minnesota.

Janet was born on August 9, 1940 to Harry and Alice (Peterson) Wennersten in Ironwood. She was a 1958 graduate of Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood. Janet was united in marriage with Timothy Trier on March 3, 1962 in Fort Lewis, Washington. She owned and operated Jan's Beauty Shop for over 40 years until her retirement. Janet was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Ironwood. Watching her children, grandchildren and her newest great-grandson was most important to her.

Janet will be missed by her son, Guy (Michelle) Trier of Ironwood; daughter, Gay Lynn (Darin) Peterson of Cloquet, MN; her sister, Carol Kivi; four grandchildren, Brooke (Jacob) Coyle, Korrie (Erik) Frank, Ryan (Shaylee) Peterson, and Austin Trier; and great-grandson, Beau Coyle. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Janet was preceded in death by parents, her husband Tim in 1994; sisters, Alice Rathbun and Nancy Luoma; brothers, Regenial Proctor and David Wennersten.

Visitation for Janet will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 10 a.m. to the time of her funeral service at 11 a.m. at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home in Ironwood. Burial at Riverside Cemetery will follow.
