James Edward Erickson, 50, of Mill Trace Apartments, Ironwood Township, died Friday, March 27, 2015, at Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood.      Jim was born Nov. 29, 1964, in Ironwood, the son of Ronald and Carole (Luoma) Erickson. He attended Roosevelt Grade School and Luther L. Wright High School, and was a self-employed carpet and vinyl installer in the areafor many years.      Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards with his buddies, and was a big Green Bay Packers fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family at their cottage at Little Girl's Point.      Surviving are his parents, Ron and Carole Erickson, Ironwood Township; two brothers, Jeffrey (Cindy), Wausau, Wis., and Joel (Kathy), Ironwood; a sister, Julee Erickson, Ironwood Township; aunts and uncles, Sheldon (JoAnn) Luoma, Kimball, Wis., Kevin (Mary) Luoma and Robert Luoma, Ironwood, Dale Niemi, Hurley, Wis., Delores (Robert) Vittone, Kimball, Mary (Perry) LaSart, Mountain Iron , Minn., and Leland Omdahl, Aurora, Minn.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins; special friend, Terry; and beloved cocker spaniel, Chelsea.      Besides his paternal and maternal grandparents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Jon, on Sept. 6, 2011; and an aunt, Janice Omdahl, in July 2011.      Out of respect for his wishes, cremation has taken place.      Private family services will be held at a later date.      Arrangements were entrusted to McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ironwood.Condolences can be given to Jim's family online at mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.
