Jack Frank, 93, of 220 E. Oak St., Ironwood, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, Nov. 2, 2008, in his home. He was born Aug. 16, 1915, in Chicago, son of the late Sam and Lena (Beederman) Frank, graduated form Marshall High School in Chicago, and attended Wright Junior College, also in Chicago. Jack was employed in the credit field in Chicago for many years, retiring in 1976 and moving to Ironwood. He delivered papers for the Ironwood Daily Globe for many years, and was an avid sports fan, particularly following Chicago White Sox baseball. He was also active in Boy Scouting in the area over the years as well as Norrie Grade School Fun Frolics on Halloween. On June 14, 1968, he married the former Marilyn J. LaFave in Chicago. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Steven, and two grandchildren, Devon and Rebecca Frank, all of Ironwood. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St. in Ironwood, where a scripture and prayer service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Committal services, followed by interment, will take place Friday, Nov. 7, at 10:30 a.m., at Westlawn Cemetery in Chicago.
