Grace Lynch Harding, 91, of 107 W. McLeod Ave., Ironwood, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, in Ironwood. The former Grace Erspamer was born May 20, 1916, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Emil and Inez (Garland) Erspamer, and attended Hurley schools. She was employed as a sales clerk in various local stores, and was a member of AARP. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing and quilting. Grandma "Moe" was deeply loved by family and friends and will truly be missed by those whose life she touched. Grace married William J. Lynch in Dec. 1932 in Bessemer. He preceded her in death. She married Charles F. Harding on Nov. 24, 1965 in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death in 1970. Surviving are three daughters, Sally Fontecchio (Tom), and Joan (Larry) Recla, both of Ironwood, and Judy (Earl) Gravatt, San Dimas, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, Kathy (Rod) McPherson, Montclair, Calif., Teri (George) Polos, Knoxville, Tenn., Bill (Heather) Lynch, Henderson, Nev., Lori Clemens, Scottsdale, Ariz., Sam Fontecchio, Ironwood, Kim Fontecchio (Dan Berlin), Bessemer, Pam Asunto and Tracy Paulson, both of Ironwood, Marti (Don) Armata, Ironwood Township, Lisa (Dennis) Hewitt, Michael (Linda) Recla, and Cindy (Larry) Koski, all of Ironwood, and Scott Lintonen and Sheri (Damon) McCant, both of San Dimas; 26 great-grandchildren, Clayton, Aaron, Nicole, Michael, Melissa, Jessie, Tyler, Justin, Colton, Brandon, Michael, Heather, Leesa, Aaron, Travis, Samantha, Jacob, Jarred, Paul, Josiah, Luke, Ryan, Paul, Christie, Justin and Dane; 11 great-great-grandchildren, Owen, Jada, Lucia, Jacinta, Mason, Logan, Daija, Forrest, Haidi, Cadence and Cole; a brother, Michael (Sylvia) Erspamer, Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sisters, Geraldine "Billy" Schwartz, Rancho Cuca Monga, Calif., and Bonita "Bunny" (Art) Hansen, Honolulu, Hawaii and Lake Gogebic; numerous nieces and nephews; and brother-and-sisters-in-law, Mark Dahlin, Kaukauna, Wis., Barbara Erspamer, Tulsa, Okla., and Jan Erspamer, Grafton, Wis. Besides her parents and husbands, Grace was preceded in death by her son, William J. Lynch, on Oct. 29, 2003; her daughter-in-law, Sandra Lynch, July 17, 1997; two great-grandchildren, Johnny McPherson and Michael Recla; two brothers, Jerry Erspamer and Eugene Erspamer; and four sisters, Vivian Erspamer, June Kastner, Anita Dahlin and Ginger Erspamer. Out of respect for Grace's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Spring inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.
