Glenn D. Nasi, 52, of 2
Montreal St., Montreal, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at home, after
a day in the deer blind. He was born April 8, 1958, in Ironwood, Mich.,
son of Beverly (Humann) and the late Nilo Nasi. After graduating from J.E. Murphy High School
in 1976, Glenn worked construction for both Ero Nasi and Wayne Nasi construction
companies. He tried living in Oregon and Kenosha but always returned to his
beloved Northwoods, where he worked a number of different jobs over the years.
He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing in season. He also liked
astronomy and coin collecting. Glenn developed a knack for growing things as he
took care of his parents' home and property during and after his father's long
illness. Glenn was married to Rachelle Rogo from Oct.
1, 1977 to Dec. 21, 1987. He was very proud of his children and enjoyed each of
their accomplishments. He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie
(Zachary) Leclair, Oakdale, Minn., and Jacqueline Nasi ( Roman Huerta),
Burnsville, Minn.; a son, Mark (Klara Turcotte), of Superior; his mother,
Beverly, Montreal; three brothers, Erick (Melinda), and Steven, both of Hurley,
and Paul (Robin), Chester, Va.; a sister, Karin (Dan) Walowinski, Hurley;
numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his godmother, Merrie Lynn Kazian; and
special friends, Donald and Shaun Smee, Robert Sertich, and Frank
Kuiawa. Besides his father, Glenn was preceded in
death by his grandparents, Frank and Evelyn Humann, John and Josephine Juurakko,
and Einar Nasi. At the family's request, cremation has taken
place. A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec.
3, at 11 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Ironwood, with the Rev. Francis Strong
officiating. Committal will
take place at the church, with luncheon to follow in the church fellowship
hall. Spring inurnment will be in Riverside
Cemetery, Ironwood. Relatives and friends may call at the
