Gary F. Ives, 81, of Hurley, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

Gary was born on October 22, 1944, in Green Lake, Wisconsin, to John and Leona (Quade) Ives. He was a proud US Navy veteran who recently went on the Honor Flight with his daughter. Gary loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed hunting big and small game.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Ives; sister, Jolee Herrmann; ex-wife, Darlene Ives; grandchildren, Heather White, Brianna Davis, Logan Gray-Ives, Landon Gray-Ives, Aiyana Gray-Ives, Leonna Spoehr, and Lato Ives; 7 great-grandchildren with two more on the way, along with other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, John and Leona Ives, and his son, Kevin Ives.

Visitation for Gary will take place on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Minocqua (8781 Brunswick Rd). Service to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Stephen Luchterhand officiating. Burial will take place at Plum Lake Cemetery in Sayner at a later date.
