Frances M. Castillo, 68, of Hometown Village Apts., Mercer, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, in her home.      The former Frances Strebe was born Oct. 21, 1941, in Whittlesey, WI, daughter of the late Arnold and Rachel (Wagner) Strebe. She attended Mercer High School, graduating in 1960, then attended Nicolet College and Technical Institute in Rhinelander, graduating as a cosmetologist in 1981.      She operated Fran's Beauty Boutique in Winchester for 25 years, retiring in 2006.      Frances loved sewing, crafts and cooking, and was a very social person. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend to all, and will be deeply missed.      On Oct. 21, 1961, she married John Castillo, Sr. in Winchester. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1995.      Surviving are five children, Brenda (Randall) Baldauf, Chino Valley, AZ., John Castillo, Jr., Presque Isle, Donald (Bobbi Jo) Castillo and Ronald (Bethany) Castillo, both of Ironwood, Mich., and Jennifer Babcock, Gordon; 13 grandchildren, Stephine, Cassandra, Jacob, Katie Sue, Carissa, Kyle, Haley, Grayce, Isabel, Hannah, Ethan, Mirana and Amanda; six brothers, Arnold (Nobuko) Strebe, Pueblo West, Co., Marlyn (Janice) Strebe, Gatesville, Tx, Archie Strebe, West Salem, Wis., Floyd (Marjorie) Strebe, Cincinnati, OH., Gerald (Joanne) Strebe, Washburn, and Gary (Dorothy) Strebe, West Fargo, ND.; a sister, Rachelle Felter, Tomah; and numerous nieces and nephews.      Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George, at birth, and Ralph Strebe.      Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in Ironwood, with the Rev.
