Flora J. Strancel, 86, of Ironwood Township, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Aspirus Grand View
Hospital in
Ironwood. The former Flora
Negri was born Nov. 11, 1926, in Wakefield, daughter of the late John and Madeline (Bruno)
Negri, and graduated from Wakefield High
School in 1944. She resided in Wakefield until 1959, then traveled extensively throughout
the United States and the
world, living in Saudi
Arabia for a period of time. She had been a
resident of Ironwood Township for the past 28 years. She
enjoyed crocheting. She married James
Strancel in 1959
in Reno, Nev. He
preceded her in death on April 5, 1985. Surviving are a son,
James Jr., Montreal, Quebec, Canada; two daughters, Mary Jane Giansanti-Olson,
her husband Sidney Olson, San Juan Capistrano,
Calif. and their son Jayson Olson who resides
in Rancho Santa Margarita, Ca; Renee Giansanti and her husband Charles Robinson
of Ventura, Calif.; several sisters-in-law and numerous
nieces and nephews. Besides her parents
and husband, Flora was preceded in death by three brothers, Renaldo, Joseph and
John Negri; as well as a son, Joseph Harold Giansanti, who died as an
infant. In accordance with
her wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family
services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were
