Fedaylia A. "Faye" Levra, 90,
of Hurley, Wis., died Friday, June 1, 2012, at Aspirus Grand View Hospital in
Ironwood, surrounded by her family. The former Fedaylia Gulan was born Dec. 31,
1921, in Saxon, Wis., daughter of the late Anton and Theodosia (Wyzlic) Gulan,
and attended Saxon schools. She was employed at Northstar Beverage in Hurley for
many years, retiring in 1986. Faye was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
Church in Hurley. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, and loved spending
time with her family and grandchildren. She was married to John G. Levra on June 9,
1945, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Saxon. He preceded her in death on May 21,
1996. Surviving are two sons, Mike (Kathy), Hurley,
and Dave (Judy), Saxon; two daughters, Margaret Levra, Montreal, Wis., and
Shirley Levra (Tony Tijan), Hurley; 13 grandchildren, John (Shannon), Mark
(Tammy), Lisa (Jeff), Johnny (Mary), Kristie, Josh (Shelly), Jessica, Jeffrey
(Katie), Joe, Heather (Jon), Heidi (John), Alyssa (William), and Alex; 18
great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, David Gulan,
Virginia, Minn.; two sisters, Martha Hojnacki, Arizona, and Carol Ozzello,
Wakefield; numerous nieces and nephews; and sisters-and-brother-in-law, Margaret
Gulan, Ironwood, Leone Gulan, Hurley, Shirley Gulan, Ft. Myers, Fla., Louise
Levra, Chicago, and George and MaryAnn Levra, Iron Belt, Wis. Besides her parents and husband, Faye was
preceded in death by brothers, Anton, Adam, Alex, John, Domenic and Felix Gulan;
and sisters, Agnes, Ann, Margaret and Catherine Gulan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Thursday, June 7, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Hurley, with the Rev. Frank Kordek OFM,
celebrant. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in
St. Mary's Cemetery, Hurley. Lunch will be served in the parish hall
immediately upon return from the cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons John, Mark and
Joe Levra, Josh and Dillon Jones, and Alex Mazurek. Faye's obituary can be viewed online and
