Emily M. Eifolla, 86, of Ironwood, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 29, 2007, in Ironwood. The former Emily Jacquart was born June 12, 1921, in Ironwood, the daughter of the late Edwin and Anna (Hanson) Jacquart. She attended A.L. Norrie Grade School in Ironwood, and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1940. Emily was an excellent cook and enjoyed snowmobiling, and especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood. She married Gerald "Jerry" Eifolla on April 5, 1941, in Bessemer. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1985. Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Lynn), and Gregory (Donna), both of Saxon, Wis.; three daughters, Donna (Alfred) Spigarelli, Iron Mountain; Geraldine (Robert) Tuma, Ironwood Township; and Emily Sue Spencer, Ashland, Wis.; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (Eugene) Martell, Ironwood; sisters-in-law, Margaret Iuorio, Schaumburg, Ill, and Sandy Calligaro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Emily was preceded in death by two grandsons, Donnie Spencer in 1997 and Gary Spigarelli in 1992; seven brothers, Lloyd, Leonard, Wally, Alward "Bud", Arthur, Clarence and Harold Jacquart; and a sister, Hazel Livingston. In accordance with Emily's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood, with the Rev. Darryl Pepin, celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Joseph Family Room at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Bessemer. Relatives and friends may call in the St. Joseph family Room at the church beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
