Obituary

Elizabeth M. "Liz" Tiziani, 93, of Ironwood, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley.      The former Elizabeth Carli was born April 9, 1922, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Modesto and Catherine (Tessari) Carli, and graduated from St. Ambrose High School in 1939.      She was married to Caesar Tiziani on July 19, 1941, at St. Ambrose Church in Ironwood. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1995.      Elizabeth was a current member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood.      Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Barbara) Tiziani, and Larry (Sandy) Tiziani, both of Madison; a daughter, Mary Tiziani, Ironwood; five grandchildren, Gina (Jeff) Beck, Waunakee, Nicki (Steve) Stricker, Madison, Mario (Kressi) Tiziani, Excelsior, Minn., Nathan (Brooke) Tiziani, Milwaukee, and Neil (Sheri) Tiziani, Madison; nine great-grandchildren, Bobbi and Isabella Stricker, Ryan and Thomas Beck, Alexa and McKella Tiziani, Elysia Tiziani, Akira Tiziani and Jack Tiziani; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Delores Swanson, Ironwood.      In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Ada Suokko; and brother, John C. Carli.      "A Child's Thanks"      Thank you for sharing my dreams, joining in my adventures, slowing down to see life through my eyes, taking delight in all that delights me;      Thank you for saying no, setting boundaries, giving me a home, providing me a sanctuary;      Thank you for loving me in all these ways and more;      Thank you for loving me always.       Per Elizabeth's wishes, cremation has taken place.      A Mass of Christian will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation in the St. Joseph Family Room at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Peace Church in Ironwood, with the Rev. Frank Kordek OFM, celebrant.      Luncheon will follow in the parish hall.      Rite of Committal and interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, in the spring.      In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Our Lady of Peace Adopt-A-Student Program, 108 So. Marquette St., Ironwood, MI 49938.      Arrangements have been entrusted to McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ironwood.
