Edward Roland Huhtala, age 77, of Saxon, passed away on January 17, 2019.      Edward was born on July 9, 1941 in Saxon to Lauri and Aune (Rinta) Huhtala. He was a graduate of Saxon High School and Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. He was a long-time employee of Memorial Medical Center in Ashland. He was a resident of Saxon most of his life until 1995 when he moved to Wakefield.       He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Huhtala of Ironwood as well as many other relatives and friends.      He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Norma Marie Dezingas.      In accordance with his wishes, a private service will be held.      Ketola-Burla Funeral Home of Ironwood is assisting the family with arrangements.
