Donna K. Beckman, 69, of Ironwood Township, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with lung cancer on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Donna was born on January 24, 1953 in Ironwood to Elmer and Isabelle (Simonton) Waurio. She attended Roosevelt Elementary School and went on to graduate Luther L. Wright High School in 1971. She attended Gogebic Community College and worked for the Grandview and Aspirus clinic. Donna enjoyed crafting, drawing, painting, knitting and tending to flowers.

She will be missed by her daughter, Tracy (Barry Cole) Bushie of Ontonagon; son, Brian Bushie of Minneapolis; brother, Duane (Penny) Waurio; sister, Debra (Greg) Stano of Iowa; two grandchildren, Kelly and Tyler Dhooge; nephews, special nieces, cousins and her previous husband, Michael Bushie.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Isabelle Waurio, husband; Harold Beckman; sister, Diane Chiapuzio; and nephew, Kevin Chiapuzio.

A celebration of Donna's life will take place at Hautala's Bar in Ironwood Township beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Inurnment will take place next to Harold at Sunset Acres Cemetery at a later date.
