Donald David Brace, 85, of Ironwood, passed away on May 22, 2020 at the Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley, Wisconsin. He was born on March 26, 1935, in Ironwood Township, Michigan, the son of David and Dorothy (Johnson) Brace. He attended local schools. On June 6, 1970, Donald married Dorleen Nygrad. She preceded him in death on April 7, 2001. He was employed at O'Conners and, Ahonen Lumber Companies and White Pine Copper Company. Donald loved going to Little Girl's Point to his camp. He loved spending time with his brother, Kenny, and his best friend, Dave Johnson and his friend, Bob Pertile. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Dorothy Brace; his wife, Dorleen; sister, Janice Cummings, and brother, Ernest Brace. Donald is survived by his brother, Kenny Brace; sister, Jean (Loyd) Wilbanks; nieces, Chris, Pam and Becky; and nephew, Lee. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hurley on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at 3 pm with Fr. Frank Kordek OFM officiating.
