Dennis Wayne Saari, 77, of Erwin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Westgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Ironwood.

Dennis was born on April 19, 1947, in Ironwood, Michigan, to August and Betty (Miller) Saari. He graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood in 1966. Dennis was a truck driver, delivering for Shopko for many years. He enjoyed living in Idaho and Florida before returning to the area. Dennis loved to work, staying busy at home, always outside tinkering, gardening, and yard work. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ironwood.

He is survived by his two sons, Denny Saari of Hurley, and Paul (Vickee) Saari of Ironwood; two daughters, Darcie (Preston) Carli of Ironwood and Christie Saari of Farmington, AK; two brothers, Butch (Mary) Saari and Dan (Wendy) Saari; sister, Diane (Darryl) Cartwright; and four grandchildren, Tyler Saari, Kaylee Saari, Taylor Makinen, and Ian Johnson. Dennis is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, with a celebration of Dennis' life to begin at 4 p.m. at the Cold Iron Brewing (104 S. Lowell St, Ironwood, MI 49938)
