Duluth, MN.- Dennis Puisto, 82, of Ironwood, MI passed away April 1st, 2023

Dennis was born in Ironwood, Michigan, on November 16, 1940, the son of Axel and Helvi (Ojanen) Puisto.

He served as a Military Police officer for the Air Force for four years after graduating high school.

After graduating from UW, Superior, Dennis taught Business Education in Ironwood, Michigan. He eventually moved overseas to teach military dependents for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools.

He ultimately retired to Ironwood, MI. As a true Finn at heart, he loved gardening and taking saunas. He adored his grandchildren and always enjoyed building fires in his backyard for them.

He is predeceased by: His parents Axel and Helvi, Sisters Arlene Vittone, Karen Barton, Lynn Palmquist, and his daughter Kristi Puisto.

He is survived by his sons, Michael, Curtis, and Troy, and daughter, Trina Puisto-Portugal; his sibling Deanna Calloway; his ex-wife of 26 years, Ruth Puisto, as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dennis passed away with his children by his side at Essentia Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.
