Daniel R. Cisewski, 73, of
Ironwood, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, in Ironwood. He was born Feb. 27, 1937, in Ironwood, son of
the late Anton and Stella (Staszek) Cisewski, attended A.L. Norrie Grade School,
and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1955. Dan worked in Kenosha, Wis. for several years,
then returned to Ironwood, where he was employed at Ahonen Lumber Co. for many
years. He retired as a fork lift operator at Steiger Lumber Co. in Bessemer
after 30 years of service in 1999. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger
years and working on cars. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. Surviving are three brothers, Eugene (Arlene),
Burnsville, Minn., James (Delores), Kenosha, and Willam (Sandy), Hurley, Wis.; a
sister, Betty Cisewski, Mercer, Wis.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and
a special friend, Tony Fabbri, Ironwood. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death
by a brother, Junior, and sister, Patty, both at birth. At the family's request, cremation has taken
place. A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct.
29, at noon, at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in
Ironwood, with the Rev. Darryl Pepin, pastor of Our Lady of Peace Catholic
Church in Ironwood, officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at the funeral
home. Private i nterment will be in Riverside
Cemetery, Ironwood. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral
