He worked for Allender Motors and at the Auto, Paint and Collision Shop for Herman Fontecchio prior to entering the U.S. Army on Dec. 29, 1944, and serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II.      Following his honorable discharge on Nov. 23, 1946, Clint returned to Ironwood and resumed working for Herman Fontecchio at Auto, Paint and Collision until purchasing the shop with his son, Dave, renaming the business Hagelin's Auto, Paint and Collision, and operating it until his retirement. He was well known across the range area for his auto body and wheel alignment skills.      Clint was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Ironwood and Ironwood American Legion Post 5. His interests included fishing, camping and snowmobiling.      On Oct. 11, 1947, he was united in marriage to the former Donna M. McCarthy in Ironwood. Donna survives.      Also surviving are his son, Dave (Christine "Chrick"), Lake Gogebic; two grandchildren, Todd Hagelin, Minneapolis, and Tim Hagelin, Ironwood; great-granddaughter, Marley Hagelin; sister, Dorothy Kusz, Ironwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.      Besides his parents, Clint was predeceased by brothers, Raymond and Byron "Barney"; and a sister, Betty Johnson.      Out of respect for his wishes, cremation has taken place.      Private family services will be held at a later date.      Arrangements were entrusted to McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ironwood. Condolences may be expressed online at mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.      The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Jacobetti Home for Veterans for the exceptional care given to Clint over the past two years.
