Clarence D. "Kelly" Ramme,
65, of So. Davis Rd., Ironwood, died peacefully Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, in his
home, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with
cancer. He was born Dec. 28, 1946, in Ironwood, son of
the late Floyd and Marion (Chouinard) Ramme, and graduated from A.D. Johnston
High School in Bessemer in 1965. He then served six years in the Minnesota and
Michigan National Guard. Kelly owned and operated Ramme's Auto Salvage,
Ramme's Septic Service and Ramme's Auto and RV Sales. He was a member of Our
Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood and a Third Degree member of
Ironwood Knights of Columbus Council No. 1396. He loved attending auctions and
enjoyed flower gardening. Working was his hobby. On Jan. 8, 1966, he was married to the former
Jane T. Honkala at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bessemer by the Rev. Chester
Franczek. Jane survives. Also surviving are two sons, John, Ironwood,
and Floyd (Linnea), Ironwood Township; a daughter, Barbara (Mark) Werner, Eagle
River, Alaska; grandson, Jason Ramme; two brothers, Dennis "Blackie", Madison,
Wis., and David, Ironwood; a sister, Donna Ramme, Merrill, Wis.; half sister,
Paula Lesinski, Ironwood; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and
brothers-and-sisters-in-law. Per Kelly's wishes, cremation has taken
place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday,
Sept. 22, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood, with the
Rev. Robb Jurkovich, celebrant. Luncheon will follow in the parish
hall. Relatives and friends may call in the St.
Joseph Family Room at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, where
members of Pere Menard Assembly No. 471, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, will
serve as honor guard. Condolence's can be given to Kelly's family
