Carole Ann Erickson, 84, of Ironwood Township, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

Carole was born on June 14, 1940, to Roy Luoma and Helen (Lake) Niemi. She was a graduate of J.E. Murphy High School. On March 3, 1962, she was united in marriage with Ronald E. Erickson at Holy Trinity Church. Carole enjoyed spending time at their lake cottage, going to the casino, and playing scratch-offs.

Carole will be missed by her two sons, Jeffrey (Cindy) Erickson of Wausau, and Joel (Tammy Z.) Erickson of Ironwood; daughter, Julee (Jackie Quinn) Erickson of Ironwood; six grandchildren, Steven, Jason, Missy, Jessie, Derek, and JJ; numerous great-grandchildren with one on the way, and several great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Sheldon (Joann) Luoma, and Robert Luoma; ex-daughter-in-law, Kathy Erickson; two sisters-in-law, Dolores (Bob) Vittone of Kimball, Mary (Perry) LaSart of Mountain Iron, MN; and her brother-in-law, Leland Omdahl of Aurora, MN. She is further survived by numerous step-grandchildren, other relatives, friends, and her dogs, Scooby and Scrappy.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ron in 2016; two sons, Jon and James; her brother, Kevin Luoma, and step-brother, Dale Niemi.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from noon to 5 p.m. at their lake property.
