Carol J. Budzien, 58, of Mercer, died early Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, 2007, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was the daughter of the late Edgar and Estella (Clute) Barker. She is survived by her husband, Larry, of Mercer; two sons, Andy (Diane), Oconomowoc, and Ben (Stephanie), Ashland; two grandchildren, Xander and Kalli; her mother-in-law, Marilyn Budzien, Chilton; two brothers, William (Mia) Barker and Bruce (Lillian) Barker; four sisters, Kathy (Allen) Fuller, Joann (Dan) Lamping, Judy (Don) Schulze, and Laura (George) Truel; brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Scott and Linda Budzien, Linda and Greg McEwen, and Susan and Derek McDermott; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Barker; her father-in-law, Glenn Budzien; and a brother-in-law, William Budzien. In accordance with Carol's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, Nov. 24.
